Everyone has their price but….

The Bainkhaiyum propaganda machine has funded a visit to Fiji by one of their longest serving apologists, Crosbie Walsh of Horowhenua.

This should not be surprising, as there have been distinct signs of wavering faith by old Croz. Father Barr’s final disgust (and realisation that he’d been used) probably nagged at the Croz conscience. And then there’s the outrageous interference in the ‘independent’ Constitutional Commission.

Years of economic decline and deteriorating schools, hospitals, water supply and roads never made much impression on Croz, but contempt for fellow travellers is another matter. That struck at the tender ego of dear old Croz.

So the regime propaganda machine flew Croz to Suva, put him up a the Holiday Inn, gave him a car with driver (actually three, all skilled in the arts of ego stroking).

There are two thing we can learn from this. Claims that Croz has been on the regime payroll can’t be true, otherwise this wouldn’t be necessary.

But it must also be true that everyone has a price – but not many come as cheaply as Croz. Stroke his ego by treating him as if his opinion matters and you have him. Much cheaper than the Qorvis, Grubby Shazzer outfit.
