Proposed Registered Officer of the Proposed OneFiji, Sitiveni Kalou and FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

The Proposed OneFiji Party has asked the Registrar of Political Parties, Mohammed Saneem to dismiss the FijiFirst Party’s objection to the registration of OneFiji.

Proposed Registered Officer of the Proposed OneFiji, Sitiveni Kalou said One and First do not mean the same and cannot possibly cause any confusion.

While replying to FijiFirst General Secretary, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, the Proposed OneFiji said First is who came ahead of others while One will always stand alone.

Kalou also said that there will be no confusion for the voter as claimed by the FijiFirst because the Proposed OneFiji campaign will be clear in its promotion and propagation of its party candidates and policies.

He said the ballot paper will also not contain party names, symbols or even candidate names so there is no chance of confusion under those factors.

In a letter to the Registrar, Sayed‑Khaiyum said One Fiji’s registration should be refused because the party would confuse the voting public.

He said it is likely to be confused with or mistaken for FijiFirst.

Sayed-Khaiyum said FijiFirst is the only political party with two words in it, with the word ‘party’ not in it and with the word Fiji in the name.

He said the proposed OneFiji party has the same features.

Sayed-Khaiyum said OneFiji is put as one word similar to FijiFirst, and the beginning of the two words are capitalised as in FijiFirst.

  1. Lol! Khaiyum has to admit that most of his followers are dumb and cant tell the difference of bewtween FF & OF. That’s the state of their followers. Dumb and arrogant.

  2. Fiji F*&%!# Party does not even realise they cannot run government, manage an election and contest it at the same time! Apart from obvious lack of free and open participation due to enforcement of self style decrees, the animal farm election will never pass the credibility test because the management of government affairs including overseeing the election is never left to an interim administration to take charge of. Bainikaiyum’s judge and jury approach is making everyone believe that this Fiji election is nothing more than a scandal to secure legitimacy for the illegal regime….welcome to animal politics and election!!

  3. Exactly kainoqu, so all the ulukau who have registered to vote in these sham elections are playing into the hands of the illegal regime, who believe that come September 18th they will be the legitimate rulers of Fiji and therefore illegal no more. It does not end there however, Fiji will be farked for years to come under the conniving control of the usurpers. How this will create growth and jobs in the future is anybody’s guess while there is an absence of confidence in the economy. Colonel Ulukau up north admits that production is down from 20% of GDP to a low 9%. That’s because nobody wants to work hard and pay taxes to a military controlled government bent on filling it’s own pockets. A vote for FijiFirst is a vote for more of the same!

  4. Surely this One Fiji party new this would happen, it was pretty obvious. There could easily be confusion over the names judging from the querys we have herad so far about the use of ballot papers.

Your own fault One Fiji, tuff.
