Monday, 21/07/2014

Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry

Fiji Labour Party Leader, Mahendra Chaudhry said it’s hard for a party to form a government on its own.

While speaking to about 40 people at their campaign meeting at Riverside Road, Narere, Chaudhry highlighted that the population of Indo Fijians is decreasing in Fiji and it now stands at one third.

Chaudhry said the population of i-taukei is more than 60 percent and Indo Fijians account for between 33 to 35 percent.

He then told the people that the FLP and SODELPA coalition is important.

  1. Chaudhry looks tired and worn out
He knows the FLP is doomed and a spent force so he is banking heavily on SODELPA as a coalition partner to return to Government
Every politician should know when to call it quits and perhaps Chaudhry should gave called it quits after the 2000 coup where he would have gone down on history as a statement
He is too old and been in politics too long and he lacks a vision and has run out of ideas
He should seriously consider quitting after this election and take retirement
He has been a spoiler and has never benefited Fiji as he had always been a person with the aggressive mentality never learnt to work with people
The biggest mistake he made was not to back the SDL Labour cabinet under Qarase
He should have joined the Qarase cabinet and really showed the people of Fiji how to work together and how multiparty cabinets should work
He missed a golden opportunity and I am sure he is regretting it
