NATIONAL Federation Party (NFP) leader Professor Biman Prasad has called on the school managements in the country to charge political parties if they want to use their premises.

Prof Prasad, who was on tour of the North last week, said some of the managements had been reluctant to open their school premises for political campaign because they feared the government won’t help them in terms of grants.

This, he said should not be a hindrance instead, an opportunity to generate extra income for the school.

“Some school managements we approached are reluctant to allow political parties to use their premises for campaign fearing, that the government will not give them school grant next year,” Prof Prasad said.

“I call upon the managements not to have fear but charge the parties who want to use their premises because this will earn them extra money. The money can be better used for the school’s operations.

“There’s nothing to fear, they just have to rent their premises to the parties.”

Meanwhile, Prof Prasad said their campaign in the North was well-received by people from all walks of life who took time out to be present at the various meeting venues.

  1. I sympathise with aeroplane as he can get to use school premises. The classrooms will be under utilised as only a handful will attend.

I estimate the total votes NFP will get is 10k, or 3% of votes cast.

  2. Don’t worry mate, the in-fighting in NFP will kill the party and its supporters.

I feel sorry for my pal Captain Sen

  3. None of your sentiments will have effect on the voters. They have already decided not to vote for Labour, FF, PDP. NFP will fly high. Keep clawing the post, you will still be the loser. Go Biman, go! Vote for NFP.

  4. @ Charmine

Man you must be a die hard NFP saporta but a blind one.

Ask biman how many people turned at Ba sangam school, in lautoka, in wailoku, in his home town?

Its time to shut the NFP shop.

We will talk on 18 september.

  5. Biman was fired as USP dean for incompetence and nepotistically appointing people from his village in Tabia Labasa. How will he run a political party? Attar should have been leader and Biman his deputy.
