We will remove a number of decrees if we are in power – PDP

The People’s Democratic Party has today confirmed that it will remove a number of decrees if it comes into power after the September 17th general elections.
While opening their headquarters at the Fiji Trades Union Congress building today, PDP Leader, Felix Anthony said the decrees that limit any of rights for the people will be removed.
This includes the Essential Services Industries Decree which does not allow workers to have union representatives from outside their workplace.
Anthony also said that they will bring the Great Council of Chiefs back which will also look at what is best for the itaukei.
Anthony also opposes the $2 national minimum wage rate, saying it is too low and they will have a higher rate.
However when questioned by Legend FM News, Anthony said that he cannot give specific details at this stage.
Meanwhile PDP President, Lynda Tabuya confirmed that the party is renting the FTUC building space which is much bigger than the previous space occupied in the same building.
