NFP puts youth members centre stage
MINI CONFERENCE TO HEAR WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY
The National Federation Party is stepping up its youth involvement in party matters and will be holding a mini Youth conference in Suva on Saturday.
NFP Youth Steering Committee chairman, Usaia Moli said the mini-conference is to encourage discussions among its younger members.
“This really is a chance to listen to our young people and hear what they have to say,” Mr Moli said.
Young people will make up at least 40 per cent of voters in the September poll.
Party leader, Dr Biman Prasad will open the meeting. Other speakers include party president Tupou Draunidalo and Mr Moli.
The theme of the mini-conference is – Youth Our Future.
Meanwhile, Dr Prasad, Ms Draunidalo, Seni Nabou and Attar Singh are in the North conducting pocket meetings. They have been there since Saturday when the party hosted the Northern Rally.
