“We can beat the other parties, including the proposed Fiji First.”

Proposed party to stand alone

Saturday, May 10, 2014

THE proposed National Youth Party will contest the general election on its own.

Interim president/leader Nayagodamu Korovou believes the proposed political movement can come out victorious over the other political parties.

Mr Korovou said he was invited by a former politician to join another political party but decided not to.

“Our policies are totally different from other parties so it’s better for us to contest the general election on our own,” he said.

“We can beat the other parties, including the proposed Fiji First.”

He said he believed their proposed movement would be a factor in deciding the formation of the next government.

“The other major parties will be fighting against each other and we will be forgotten.

“But we know that the youth votes are out there for us.”

  1. Observing Fiji is like watching a game of rugby where one side gets to make the rules up as they go. Fifteen versus three players, sounds good. Sin binning a player arbitrarily.

This regime have made Fiji a regional laughing stock.

If the youth party do get seats in any new gov. they will need some regional assistance to actually understand their role. Democracy is a foreign concept in Fiji.

  2. Khaiyum will “rig” the election results in their favour.

We are already seeing activities to support rigged and fraudulent elections – This includes:
    No exit polling
    the complex ballot
minimum time allowed for “other” political parties to campaign
    no media freedom
    no freedom of speech
    intimidation
the illegal constitution forced onto the people of Fiji
    the illegal electoral decree
    delays
    lies and broken promises
deliberate breaches of their own electoral decree
the corrupt and puppet electoral commission
    no rule of law
military officer in senior government positions
the inexperienced, unqualified and puppet supervisor of elections
    etc.

  3. It’s time for Australian and New Zealand reporters to ask their government ministers whether they believe Fiji is shaping up to have free and fair elections in view of the fact that the Minister for Elections is the putative Secretary-General of the party established by the illegal incumbent regime, is the author of the grossly unfair Electoral Decree and Constitution unilaterally imposed on Fiji, personally appointed the unqualified Supervisor of Elections, and isn’t enforcing the election rules he authored against his own yet-to-be registered party. I’d love to hear Abbott or Key try to explain that one away!

  4. The New Zealand Prime Minister, John Keys, and his incompetent Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murry McCully, must be jumping for joy at the news that Fiji’s illegal, corrupt and lying AG, Khaiyum, will not be standing down as Minister of Elections. Even though Khaiyum is the judge, jury and referee in Fiji’s corrupt and fraudulent 2014 elections, where Khaiyum’s puppet, Bainimarama, and his illegal FijiFirst party will also be contesting the elections.

Remember that, despite all the evidence to the contrary, McCully and Keys have told the NZ public and parliament that Fiji will be holding free and fair elections in 2014! What a bunch of incompetent and lying bloody wonders!

  5. Lying bloody wonders? Better know as international diplomacy. The average Kiwi does not really give a shit about Fiji. Same for Aus.

  6. I really doubt this youth party led by Nayagodamu, what have they done for us Fijians.Chaudary has stolen from us.Qaralevu has stolen from us through Fijian holdings,Felix has tried to distablise our economy by bringing it down to its knees through protest and sanctions,Biman has only done the talks and trying to act smart but no action. This election should be about the best leader. All this people that I have mention don’t warrant my vote

  7. Aiyaz has just announced his young niece as the new Auditor General for Fiji. Aunty Nuw will be the independent accountant to “check” the numbers.

Just remember Frank and Aiyaz, MPC thought he got away with it too. Your actions will be revealed one day.

  8. Khaiyum and Bainimarama have stolen millions from the people of Fiji and they continue to do so through corrupt practices orchestrated through Khaiyum’s corrupt aunty Nur Bano Ali and her husband. The Auditor General is not allowed to report on it to the people including the deal surrounding the sale of Rewa Dairy to CJ Patel, who also owns the Fiji Sun

  9. Khayium should resign. He has corruptly build his and his family’s empire through bribes from chinese dealings.Who paid for the land he acquired at Naisoso? He sold his property at Berry Road which he bought in year 2006 for $210,000 and sold to Tappos in year 2009 for $850,000.
How did Tappos acquire prime land in Lautoka without any tender!
How much he was paid for the casino project via aunty nur. The money is kept in Hong Kong.
How much was he paid for mahogany licence!
How much Chinese paid for the Raiwaqa prime crown land for china town?
How much he is paid by Vijay Maharaj who has the licence to make movies. He is the link for all Bollywood movies so commission is paid overseas. What experience and network does Vijay Maharaj has in the bollywood! Vijay Maharaj is the middleman!
This is the tip of the iceberg.
Declare your salary and asset before 2006 and after.

  10. We fully welcome each new party. The more the merrier. The Honourable Khaiyum will laugh all the way to the bank as the opposition fragments further and further. Watching the society in this country is like watching a couple of scorpions trapped in a glas.

  11. With due respect to Nayagodamu, please know that there is a time for everything under the sun. Human development and growth is a wonderful and systematic process and it takes time. All living things take time to mature. Maturity does not come suddenly but gradually.

Being young is an exciting and vital time to learn, observe, grow, develop and to become the best person one can be. Life is complex and multi-dimensional. Take time to live life, observe and understand it better. Learn from its ups and downs, ebbs and flows and joys and sorrows. By living life with an inquisitive mind gives one knowledge, insight and even wisdom. These are fundamentals for success later on.

To Nayagodamu and our younger people, what have you got to tell me that we do not already know?. What have you done that has given you great wisdom to share with others? How long have studied at the school of experience, the college of experience and the university of life? Have you graduated from all these institutions? How have you fared?

You see, Voreqe and Khaiyum have already given us a very bad experience. They have brought shame to our people and great hurt to Fiji’s economy and society. One of the reasons is that they think they know better, but they don’t. This foolishness, not wisdom. We do not need anymore of such foolishness. My advice to you and your group is to engage your attention and energy in more productive activities. By doing so, you will learn more about life, right and wrong, pain and comfort, sacrifice and discipline. These experiences will make you wiser and smarter and more humble people. Then and only after you have lived awhile more and acquired these qualities that you can consider yourselves ready to be considered by the nation for political leadership. I hope you will think carefully about your decision. Vinaka.

  12. @ Tomasi. You really seem to know everything. WOW! Are you some kind of know it all person? You seem to have so many Masters degrees – where did you get your degrees? You seem to know for sure Voreqe brought Fiji shame. How do you know this? Did you do a research?

WOW Tomasi. You must be very clever. Chi, Chi Tomasi man!

  13. @ Farmer

You may think Tomasi is one smart falla, but reading your silliness makes me think that you should have stayed on past class 4. Even your big boss Frank made it to form 4; imagine where you could be today?

  14. Thank you Radio Lucas. You answered it so well for me. How strange truth sounds to the ignorant and malicious. Very soon, the regime trolls would suggest we do not even make comments even on internet blogs. How sad. I rest my case.

  15. Tomasi man! Iko na main boy! Very duxy falla you. Wow! Radio too very clever. Radio must be one Professor. Chi chi.

  16. Currently it appears like Movable Type is the preferred blogging platform available right now.
(from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
