SODELPA youth leader cautioned about bad language on social media

Social Democratic Liberal Party Youth Council president, Peter Waqavonovono, has been advised not to use derogatory and foul language on social media.
Party general secretary, Pio Tabaiwalu said they’ve advised Mr Waqavonovono about the matter. “He has deleted that particular post on twitter.”
Mr Waqavonovono used inappropriate words which is not the opinion of the party, Mr Tabaiwalu said.
“In fact he was using his personal twitter account.”
Mr Tabaiwalu said their youth council president has had a traumatic experience with the military which is why he came out with such statements. On twitter, Mr Waqavonovono attacked Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his proposed FijiFirst party.

  1. SODELPA should have their Codes of Conduct & Ethics explained properly to its members so that derogatory remarks and foul language (like what Ratu She does) are not made.

  2. Unfortunately every time some people open their mouths they let not only themselves down but also what they represent.

  3. @ Nabua Prince – one can choose to be derogatory or diplomatic about the truth, the fact is that it all comes to same point. Pita is merely pointing out the fact and whilst some may prefer the use of a more diplomatic tone and language, the message is still the same. That message is “Frank is a liar and a criminal who is still running away from the law.” tik….tok…..tik…tok!

  4. What fact you talking about? My man is not a criminal as he was never convicted like your Qarase.

    The issue here is this:

Your SODELPA rep, Pita, is still a novice in the political arena and should have been counseled earlier of what to expect and how to behave in public. He’s really lucky to have Tabaiwalu to counsel him otherwise the law will come down heavily on this novice wanna be politician.
