The Fiji Labour Party has told the Pacific Islands Forum Ministerial Contact Group that it wants the immediate transfer of the election process to the electoral commission.
After meeting with the group at the Forum Secretariat, Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry said the powers and processes are still with the Attorney General’s Office..
Chaudhry said the meeting with the Ministerial Contact Group was good and the Labour party has raised its views and the group can now see what are some of the changes that some of the politicians want in Fiji.
