What the PS is trying to tell the police officers that none of you are capable of being the commissioner and does not matter how good you are you will never become the commissioner of police.

Police chief

THE permanent secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office says that we don’t need a career-oriented person to be the new commissioner of police.

They are looking for a person who is innovative and can take the force into the future.

Very well said but have you seen where the police force has gone after 1987?

The police force is a disciplined organisation and they will not speak out even if they think it is wrong.

What the PS is trying to tell the police officers that none of you are capable of being the commissioner and does not matter how good you are you will never become the commissioner of police.

Is this the incentive to be a police officer?

A person who has gone through the ranks and files of the police force will only know what is needed and to be done to move the force to the next level.

Lastly, I hope we are not playing the race card again. The first major test for the new constitution.

  1. Just get another military man to fill the post as the advertisement for the post was just another bullshit exercise by the illegal regime.

  2. Ravi Narayan is over 55 years so he must retire like other civil servants were made to retire.

When the age is revised by the new government to 60 then he can apply.

The people of Fiji also wants Bainimarma, Bole and other illegal Ministers to retire as they are over 55.

    One rule for everyone.

Now Fiji needs an interim government so that fair and free election could be held.

  3. People in Fiji need to speak freely which is not now.

The current police commissioner has failed to allow one rule for everyone.

Bainimarma and party must be charged for using the government resources to campaign for his election while illegal A.G. is globe trotting to see how the election could be rigged by the electronic voting system.

Indian government / embassy be careful for not associating with illegal regime.

Chinese will be taken care when there is a change in government.

Fiji with the current trend will be taken over by the chinese.

  4. “They are looking for a person who is innovative and can take the force into the future”

Who among you pathetic bleater’s would consider steeping into the breech, after all you all seem to be high on verbal diarrhoea.

  5. well that’s true idiots from the military have been taking turns in that position.
this is the sort of thing one must expect when you have thugs and idiots running the country at gunpoint.

  6. While I share your sentiments of the position of POL COM, I don’t know where Nardeo Mishra ex FLP got his info as it is clear from the news on Fiji village, fbc news, and the dailies that 4 career police men have been short listed for the post of commisionor.

  7. They need a regime toadie to manipulate the police. A scumbag coward like Bumm Young head of the regime sham electoral commission.

  8. how did the permanent secretary in the prime minister’s office become permanent secretary in the prime minister’s office?
he was handpicked by the phony prime minister, right?
that’s how the Pol Com will be appointed . It will be the dictator’s choice. All else the short listing etc is just for show. A masquerade.

  9. any body remember who rabuka installed as Pol Com after his coup?
the trend continues with the new military ruler.
they install a man who will do their bidding.
    a regime toady alright!

  10. I didn’t think Nardeo Mishra had it in him to question the regime .
    I was wrong.
I salute him for his courage in questioning this absurd notion put forward by a regime stooge of a permanent secretary.
