Most want PM to lead after 2014: Consultations
By MAIKA BOLATIKI
Most people want the Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, to continue leading the country after the 2014 elections, consultations in the greater Suva area show.
Speaking to the Fiji Sun Strategic Framework for Change Co-ordinating Office representative, Kisoko Cagituevei, said this particular group wanted the Prime Minister to form a party, contest the 2014 election and continue leadership.
This was after Co-ordinating Office, since the end of January, conducted more than 140 consultations in the Lami to Nasinu corridor.
They were accompanied by representatives of municipalities, the Water Authority of Fiji, the Public Rental Board, the Police, and various Government departments.
The Co-ordinating Office continues with its public relations consultations and awareness within the Suva peri-urban communities.
It is accompanied by other stakeholders following the first phase of consultations for the same sector for the Lami and Nasinu areas.
Mr Cagituevei said a common point raised in meetings in these areas is the ability of the present leadership to stop corruption in Government.
Mr Cagituevei said the people told the team from the Co-ordinating office they were happy with the excellent services provided by the current Government.
Many said that before they were only visited by politicians when the nation was preparing for an election and a lot of promises were made just for their votes.
Mr Cagituevei said most people were still waiting for what was promised to them by those politicians.
He told them they should be expecting some more people to visit them especially when the nation was preparing for another election in 2014.
“We have advised them not to be easily swayed by these people and they should be firm on what they believe in,” Mr Cagituevei said.
The Co-ordinating office, under the Office of the Prime Minister, is responsible for promoting and marketing Government plans and initiatives through the eleven pillars of the People’s Charter for Change, Peace and Progress.
These consultations are a testament to Government’s commitment to addressing core issues faced by the people every day.
It is in this regard that people are encouraged to attend these forums to not only listen to but more importantly, to air their concerns and enable everyone to work together for a better Fiji for all.
This PM has done much more than expected! The hardwork is clearly visible. It will be felt too once the roads and water systems are fixed. Believe me if there was an election now, He will win hands done. Tough laws, effective civil service, removal of corrupt officials, FICAC, Massive improvements in the health system, better legislation with modern laws spanning childrens rights to cyber crime, Better wealth distribution for all natives for land leases, better social welfare, better bus with electronic cards, better LTA now with speed cameras, Improving roads with soon to improvement in speed, Most important – Can sleep peacefully with family instead of worrying about the local neighbour trying to enter the house and rape me and my kids, The criminals and police understand their position in society, Change to Air Pacifc and new Fiji notes, waiting for a new flag,….. The list is endless but the results are clearly visible! I would double his pay.. I say we keep him and increase his performance pay!! This on top of all the sanctions. Bravo..bravo.. my salute to the PM.. The previous governments were a mess, this government has delivered to the common person on the streets and villages! Future leaders are surely going to be judged by this impressive performance.
Frank will be written into history as the only great Fijian to enter the great halls of Valhalla.
The people adore you Frank.
What else would you expect the public say to the face of a govt body??

Keep washing the i-Taukei military feet slurpers…and keep filling their pockets….clear?
People in Fiji will always say what they need to get what they want. That’s everyone including those in Govt to Jo Pubic. Rarely is it ever for the betterment of the country based truly on altruism.

Really Cagutumaivei. Bring it on. Elections 2014. If I were you and the Fiji Sunk, put some money away for a rainy day between now and 2014, you both propagandists will need it.
These are government sponsored meetings where public are wary of expressing negative views for fear of victimization. However according to the independent Yash Ghai consultations with the general public, where anyone is open to submit, the views are quite different to that of cagi’s comments. So lets not beat around the bush and proceed with the GE and proved once and for all what the real truth on bai’s support is. They keep referring the NCBBF which was violated when they trashed the 1997 constitution. What a bunch of hypocrites.
hahahahahahaha …. pull the other one !
Cagimaicici must have got intoxicated by VB’s backside. Go and vesumona your mother you magaitinana.
I first met this baboon Kisoko in my village on his usual propaganda trips to rural areas.
My first impressions of the man after listening to his loud mouth know all garbage were:
-He is boistrous loud and and assumes he know everything
-Stupidly dumn, talks down to people seems not to accept contrary points of view
-Jokes at expense of his target in the audince to silence opposing views
Not surprising that audience he is quoting unanimously want FB to lead after 2014 election…expect that before the meeting as they all know opposing views will not be accepted.
Sweet reality will come after a properly conducted election…..which will trigger journey to jail by his murderous boss
cagi’s comments on stopping corruption is a laughing matter. Corruption is rife as ever and starts right at the top. I don’t want to go through all as it is widely known what has been going on such as the unreal backdated leave pay, unknown salaries collected by bai and iarse. absence of audit reports since 2007, untendered contracts etc. Clear these up first then talk about clearing corruption.
This is getting more humurous then ever. Kisoko or whoever this idiot is thinks everyone is as stupid as him!!. To blow your own trumpet in front of the many who see right through your deceptions and crimes are signs of desperation. The people know the truth about all that has happened and all that is happening…..the regime thugs are just for their own self interest and there is more corruption, more bureaucratic scams, more looting from the government purse and more cronyism in this junta that has ever hit Fiji before!! And they dont even have the courage to produce any audited report og government finance. The people of Fiji are not fools to support a government of theives who should be locked away for their treasonous crime. This is what Kisoko believes and likes us to belive as well……..next!!!
