Flooding ……Where are our 3500 soldiers? Surely now is the time for them to show their value to our country. If they are not their to protect the people then why do they exist?
Those of us who have spent the last few days under water are hoping for a larger reaction from the miitary than the aiding of tourists that seems to be the only action to date.
Fiji is suseptable to cyclones. flooding and other natural disasters. An obvious use of the military would be in disaster recovery.
The only soldiers I have seen in the last few days were sitting around a grog bowl.

“… why do they exist”? To collect paychecks, obviously.
Our soldiers are the ultimate guarantee that our leaders are protected. The US President employs 4000 Secret Service agents to protect the leadership in the USA, so what is wrong with 3500 soldiers protecting the beloved Khaiyum? And coming out for such trivial things as flood relief is unthinkable. We expect Australia and New Zealand to assist. It is our god given right to milk the international community. Anybody who calls this a mendicant mentality will be persecuted.
News coming out of Fiji is that our illustrious soldiers were busy rescuing all the faggots and tribades in and around Nadi.
One wonders why?
They can’t swim. We do not want Frank’s personal army drowning.
You’d think that Viti’s No 1 unemployable serial freeloader Nailatikau would get off his fat arse and make his way there – but then again given his rent free gig in the big house is up soon maybe he figures its not worth the effort?
Interesting to see where he squats next – hopefully Bau?

And assault the citizens of the nation! Come-on! Don’t forget their first duty!
Protect Frank and patrol the teitei in case Frank has another attack of bravery!

I’d imagine the above is something you are very well accustomed, with little or no contribution to society.
